Black ice conditions on some routes into Galway city with freezing fog on the N18 Ennis Rd, N17 Tuam Rd, N6 Dublin Rd, N59 Clifden Rd M6 at Ballinasloe and the Headford Rd. Severe ice on the old N6 east of Loughrea.

It will be mostly dry and bright with some sunny spells, however some showers will develop later in the afternoon across western areas. Cold, with highest temperatures 3 to 5 degrees, and light to moderate southwesterly breezes, increasing fresh later in the evening.
